Sign-by-Sign Highlights July 2010

Aries- Woo Hoo! Is it exciting enough for you Rams? Jupiter and Uranus traveling together in the early phase of your sign ought now, and for years to come, provide the thrills, chills and challenges that Ram-rods live for. Doors swing open so get your elevator speech polished. Leaders among you may take it to the limit or beyond. (Just don’t end up like General Stanley McChrystal, who seemed to let his public role go to his head.) “Break on through to the other side”, “Leap tall buildings in a single bound” – you are a rock-and-rolling super star this month, practically unstoppable, at least until the full Moon, when your patron planet, Mars, encounters stodgy Saturn. You can still progress, just slowly and more cautiously for the next 2 weeks. Perhaps you will be needing a little good advice from a trusted elder or authority-type personage as you shift gears for the next leg of your glorious adventure.

Taurus- Love, play and romance will renew your creativity, refresh your soul and make Taurus a very happy Bull this month. Beware of over-indulging in toxifying activities or substances during the 3-day Witch’s Moon leading up to the solar eclipse on July 11^th. With the burst of energy for new beginnings in your home house, a long-planned project or abiding desire may finally get some traction, and move into a manifestation phase.

Gemini- Always thinking, always wondering, Gemini, and this month your mental activity might very well be oriented around money – dollars, cents, moolah, bucks, bills, low and high finance. Is it coming in? Is it going out? Looks like lots of surprises and some unknowns in your money-and-possessions mansion. News or events may lead to swift shifts in your finances. Do yourself a big favor – if you have debts, or concerns with owed taxes, handle these sooner than later, like now. Changes in the global economic situation may have a ripple effect all the way into your purse or wallet. Bright ideas and a new positive attitude work like magic at eclipse time July 8^th – 15^th. A shift in your thought patterns and mental attitude can significantly alter your reality and your experiences for the better, forever, if you choose to see the rainbow instead of the rain.

Cancer- Oooooooh…eclipse season in your Sun sign, dear Cancer. Moon children this summer are going through ch-ch-ch-changes! The journey your soul is going through may make you feel like a salty sailor after this turbulent season of high tides and new horizons. Big and permanent changes are due for your sense-of-self, some key relationships, living situation and even career. A full gamut of transitions symbolized by last month’s lunar eclipse grand cross will be unfolding (or continuing) for Crabs in the coming year. Do what you do best- find safety and security where you can, love with those you trust, and adapt and adjust to the shifting circumstances. Cosmic shake-ups like the ones on your plate are for some reason and purpose…and you will find yours by looking inside yourself.

Leo- Lucky Leo gets a planet-sponsored party during your birthday phase – but you have to wait (so hard for you fiery types) until the 22^nd of July through the 28^th, the days surrounding the full Moon. Plan your celebrations for that week, Lions. Besides boosting your fortunes and giving you lots of energy to follow your personal holy grail, this full Moon indicates that this summer you will crave attention, need attention and receive attention. Just make sure the spotlight shines on you for your noble and admirable King-of-the-Jungle attributes, and not due to whiny, whimpering, wimpy, kittenish ploys. You are hereby encouraged and warned!

Virgo- You are so deserving of good news, sweet Virgo-child. Here it is: Saturn the Headmaster is through with you for the next twenty-eight years by the 22^nd of July! As the Sun enters Leo you can begin to review your past couple of yours and take some satisfaction for handling the pressure so gracefully. Even if you weren’t always the picture of poise, your lessons have been learned, and the grades duly recorded. You can soon put your new-found and hard-won wisdom to work for you. But first, you definitely deserve some excitement, rewards, respite and recreation, don’t you? Your next assignment will unfold suddenly in the most private and intimate domains. Open to love and you will surely be enriched to the depths of your soul with the bliss you’ve been longing for, and in the most romantic and fantasy-fulfilling ways possible.

Libra- You’ve been teased by the tests of the Taskmaster, Saturn. Last fall through mid-spring of this year the Old Devil brought tales of woe, splits and separations, extra responsibility, and plenty of personal baggage re-do and review. Hang onto your boot straps, Lovely Libra, because Big Daddy Saturn is making his rounds in your sign again, and for a significantly longer duration, until October of 2012, to be exact. The good news – the unfinished business left tangled and broken from the previous pass shall now be attended to with deliberation and concentration. This means that you can and will be effective at re-stabilizing your life, getting complete with critical situations and relationships, and re-setting your priorities so that you can be the boss of your own life. Pay close attention to the lessons presented now, and you can be clear about the upcoming 2-year curriculum. A few tweaks and modifications and you’ll be back to your elegant, graceful self, inside and out, in due time.

Scorpio- Whoa Nellie! With both Big Boy Jupiter and Mix-It-Up Uranus going retro-wacko together on the front porch of your work-and-health house, you had better clean up your act and your attic, Mr. and Ms. Scorpion. Work weirdness and sudden shifts in the employment arena can leave you breathless, and either elated or anxious or both! You might finally experience the energy-drive to get that fitness and diet regimen kick-started, only to wonder later if your bright ideas are actually healthy and suitable for your body type and constitution. Reevaluation is smart and timely. Just do not beat yourself up mercilessly for a little back-sliding. It is part of the process. You just happen to be very impatient with yourself this month. This too shall pass.

Sagittarius- “Should I stay or should I go now?” –thematic lyrics from that Clash song, and so truly typical of Sag-nefarious. Played daily the music might help you realize that the uncertainties and insecurities you feel so acutely now are part of the current collective crises and you should not take these feelings so personally. You have gifts and skills, Archer, that come naturally to the fore now – in the personal sectors of your domain. You can be a helpful, guiding presence to those you love, if you can get out of your own way. Capricorn- Hey Cappy, how does it work for you when a normally comic, up-beat and easy-going actor plays against type and takes on a dark, heavy role with hints of malice and barely contained potential for mayhem? Do you chalk it up to a performer’s urge to go outside their familiar territory? To delve deeper into unknown aspects of character portrayal? To risk failure, stretch beyond accepted limits, and invite startled reactions?  You might be like that sort of performer these days, Capricorn my dear, and for quite a long while to come. Your power, your wrath, your justified outrage is needed in your world, and you have years of training ahead of you, in the hope and prayer that you can apply your fierceness and integrity in exactly the right combination. If you can be excellent and skillful you get evolution and satisfaction, if you blow it – and sometimes you will – you get major messes and hideous repercussions. Then you get to try again because so much is at stake. I knew you could take hearing this now – especially since you have been working on it already, haven’t you?

Aquarius- Do you know how smart you are right now? Aren’t you just about bursting at the proverbial seams with brilliant, fresh, innovative ideas? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Merely a taste, Water-Bearer, Wunderkind, Cosmic Channel to Humanity, merely a glimpse. Get your resources together and organized so you can fund your brain-children and thus bring them into light, life and reality. Keep a recorder or notebook handy at all times, if possible. The blasts of brilliance are so high-frequency right now that you cannot hold all of them for long in your personal memory, so get it down, please! Oh, and that’s not all – no rest for the restless, Aquarius, your dreams are trying to tell you something important about yourself.

Pisces- My dear Fish, my advice to you is complex, just like you. If you feel you are feeling for the whole world – bugs, beasts, birds, people, and even the plants, it’s because you are being opened to an aspect of your Earthly destiny. Sacred Swimmer, in the midst of this milieu – the drama of life here on Gaia right now, July 2010 – you need to find a way to play. Your innocent, child-like, wonder-and-awe-struck, vulnerable, and sensitive nature also needs to feel protected and nurtured by a strong, grounded ego-structure. Such maturity and flexibility in your personality provides the proportion and balance needed in order to give yourself permission to regress creatively, and thus be renewed and refreshed in order to keep plugging along – doing your best to make the real world the truly magical and heavenly place it could and should be. Tall task, Pisces, but you are naturally multi-faceted and particularly inspired this summer. You’ll imagine a way, and then show the rest of us how.
